He is a member of the Penco History Society and the Latin American and Caribbean Society of Environmental History (SOLCHA). In the field of teaching he has worked as a research professor at the University of Concepci\u00f3n, the San Sebasti\u00e1n University and the Santo Tom\u00e1s University.
