{"id":2843,"date":"2026-04-24T18:24:41","date_gmt":"2026-04-24T21:24:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nudisur.org\/?post_type=member&#038;p=2843"},"modified":"2026-04-24T18:24:44","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T21:24:44","slug":"ute-eickelkamp","status":"publish","type":"member","link":"https:\/\/nudisur.org\/en\/member\/ute-eickelkamp","title":{"rendered":"Ute Eickelkamp"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Ute Eickelkamp<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>is a social anthropologist affiliated with the School of Communication, University of Technology Sydney. \u00a0She grew up in Germany former centre of heavy industries, the Ruhr, and has lived in Australia for thirty years, where she has conducted collaborative research projects with First Nations artists, educators, cultural philosophers and children.\u00a0She\u00a0held positions as Stipend Recipient at the\u00a0German Mining Museum-Bochum, as Senior Research Fellow at the\u00a0Institute for Social Movements, Ruhr University Bochum, and as an Australian\u00a0Research\u00a0Council\u00a0Future Fellow (University of Sydney)\u2013\u00a0while observing the eventful transformation of her childhood world of smokestacks and open sewers into a green Metropolis.\u00a0Her ethnographic research focuses on emergent images of nature in the face of climate change and ontological duress, in contexts of Indigenous survivance and postindustrial precarity in Central Australia and Germany respectively.
