Ph.D. in History from Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso and Master's in History from the University of Chile. He is also a History and Geography professor at Catholic University Raúl Silva Henríquez. He works as an academic at Universidad Santo Tomás and Universidad Gabriela Mistral. Additionally, he is a member of the Nucleus of Economic and Social History at the Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities, University of Chile. He is a researcher at the Bicentennial Studies Center and serves as the President of the Society for the History of the Church.
