María Dolores Muñoz is a specialist in urban processes, landscape analysis, and heritage, with publications in indexed books and journals. She has led research projects (FONDECYT projects) on urban development, heritage, and the relationship between landscape and culture. She has collaborated on research with the UFZ Center for Environmental Research in Leipzig-Halle and the Leibniz Institute for Ecological Urban and Regional Development (IOER) in Dresden. Since 2011, she has been a member of the International Scientific Committee of the Forum Le Vie dei Mercanti, organized by the UNESCO Chair on Cultural Heritage, Landscape, and Territorial Governance at Benecon SCaRL. She has been part of teams working on Technical Assistance projects related to Territorial and Urban Management, Management Plans for protected areas, and Heritage Routes.
