Graduated in Economics from the University of Santiago of Compostela in 1977. His professional work was developed in university teaching, in private enterprise and in HUNOSA (Hulleras del Norte SA.), being Director of Heritage of this public company of the coal mining sector. He is also a founding member and president of INCUNA in Gijón, Asturias, and an honorary member of TICCIH Spain.
