Professor of history and geography and graduate in education from the University of Concepción. He also holds a master’s degree in History with a mention in History of Chile from the University of Chile and a doctorate in History from the University of Concepción. He is a member of the Penco History Society and the Latin American and Caribbean Society of Environmental History (SOLCHA). In the field of teaching he has worked as a research professor at the University of Concepción, the San Sebastián University and the Santo Tomás University. His lines of study have been the history of criminality, railway history and more recently, environmental history.
