IX TICCIH Spain Congress on Movable Industrial Heritage
From 25 to 28 September in Motril, Granada, the IX Congress of Industrial Heritage Furniture: Conservation, memory, innovation and social value was held, which sought to reflect on industrial heritage from the perspective of movable goods, considering not only the technical aspects of their conservation and restoration, but also their potential as a tool for education and social cohesion.
Movable industrial heritage, consisting of tangible objects linked to industrial activity, represents a vital link to the economic, social and cultural development of modern societies.
The event was attended by more than 112 participants, 64 papers and 5 presentations, and was consolidated as an opportunity to explore new ways of intervention based on technological innovation and sustainability, which allow this heritage to be integrated into the current context and guarantee its relevance for future generations.
The opening was given by the Director of the National Museum of Science and Technology of Spain and the closing was given by the President of TICCIH, Marion Steiner.
